How to start Firestarter automatically without a password and window

With Firestarter installed it can be a pain loading the firewall every time you log on to the Linux desktop, particularly as you need to type in a password every time and then minimize the application window.

Here is how you can start the application automatically for users who have the "Administer the System" privileges.

Go to System > Preferences > Sessions

A window headed "Sessions Preferences" appears.

You should start in the "Startup Programs" tab. If not, select it.

Click "Add"
