I am an accidental photographer. I like images to find themselves rather than treat it as a science, its a journey of discovery and exploration to capture those images which are lurking out there somewhere in the world waiting to be found.

Snow at 6am

The best way to test any camera is in bad light. Walking home at 6am in the morning in a flurry of heavy snow seemed to be the ideal way of testing the iphone camera although a few bottles of ale also might have contributed to the idea....

I used the iphone app GorrilaCam with no alteration to the default camera settings, just fired away and the results where quite interesting and much better than some cameras i have used on phones. There may be more on the move photos if something catches my eye.

Geese

Geese, one thing you do not want to mess with is geese and when they have chicks you have got to be very careful as they will go for you and one thing you do not want is angry goose flying at your face. (I witnessed a goose attacking a jogger once. Score:- Man 0 - Goose 5)

This is a luck photo, luck simply because it was one of a number took blind and quickly due to the mother hissing because she was not happy and the male (out of shot) also hissing while he decided whether to storm at me and send me off. As it was I did not disburb them to long before retreating.

It is a favourite simply because it came out completely unexpectantly and it is an accidental one off. A photo I never expected nor intended but somehow found itself amongst the, "please don't charge me" blind clicking.

Universal Coffee

This I admit is an odd photo...but it is more of a photo memory. I had stopped cycling and happened to look to my left and up where the texture of the sky grabbed me. It reminded me of a vast expanse of swirled milk in coffee.

I felt rather small to the towering lamppost until an aeroplane came into view (it is towards the bottom right). The plane is small on the photo and was in real life viewing, it seemed to make the sky even greater in size so I had three levels of perspective of grandeur and insignificance.

It was one of those moments where you find the vastness of the universe and how insignificant mankind is in comparison along with the things we make no matter how big or small they are.
