Corruption

My sister and I learned the value of family the hard way but also through the uncomprimisng Love of our Father who nurtured us with a heart as big as Jupiter and who battled on against hardships both emotional and financial to give us the best start in life he could. A story to long to type here but it is enough to say I have no time for those who treat their family as a commodity and invest no time in cultivating it, particually when it comes to children for parents are god in children's eyes and nothing else matters to them.

I am annoyed with someone I have known for a long time. I once said I would bust his balls, if he was fucking up. Quite frankily he has well exceeded the point of redemption and troubles have been pointed out to him on more than one occassion from various angles. The only thing left is the hangman to pull the trapdoor on the his marriage and ironically, he is the ignorant and arrogant hangman himself.

Thus this is a poem founded on what can only be discribed as my digust of someone who had the foundation of a great family and who quite frankily does nothing to prove he deserves it.

He would do well to remember "We reap what we nuture" - and not everything we nuture is for the best.

An Invitation To Dance

I am often eyed by women as someone worth having. Why I am never quite sure. Sometimes it is like being headhunted. You can't go out for a meal or a drink even as friends without the net and nails appearing at the dinner table.
However, I am a hard man to nail down, I like to know the depth of the pool and what lurks in the dark corners and even then thats no guarantee.

Silver Bullets

It arrives on a platter,
offered like an invitation to a private dinner dance.
The bell stands expectantly,
sure footed as old ladies on the subject of any man.
