Stunted Youth
I started to write this on the back of a leaflet tonight during a performance at a poetry reading, when I really should have been listening. Before going to bed, I thought I would finish it.
I was inspired by friendly, good looking women in a 3-4 second encounter during the break in the toilet queue of all places, who probably expected more of a conversation than the stupid "got to say something in response" line I gave her before diving in the toilet for cover.
Daggers In The Air
Injury and damage is often perceived to be a physical thing; you hit someone, trip them up, throw something at them or otherwise cause them harm. In reality the wrong tone, timing or wording in something you say can have a greater effect and perhaps sometimes be more devastating as it can change your world and other peoples perspectives sometimes for the better other times for the worse. It may be deliberate, used in anger or simply a slip of the tongue but the effect can have the same results.
