A friend had drawn a sketch from a photo of herself and on sending me the source image, I thought I would have a go at translating something to paint in an abstract form.

This was my first attempt ever at taking a source image and rolling with it to see where it led.

It actually turned out better than I expected although not abstract enough but I do have another photo to roll with at some point.

The photo is not a good reflection of the original image, despite some tweaking and is different in real life with how the colours work. Annoying but when you take a photo there is always a difference with the original since working from an original image has a lot of lessons to be learned.
