Threes Company
The canal path improves, the countryside opens up to where normally rabbits can be seen venturing onto the canal path before disappearing in the bush, only this time I find three worried sheep looking at me.
They are not happy and bounce hurriedly down the path away from me.
I get off my bike and start to walk wondering how I am going to get past them since the section of canal has no way back to the farmers fields due to the bush and bracken.
I have visions of turning up at my destination with three sheep or at least travelling a couple of miles with them. My cycle plan is in danger of turning into a walkathon since I do not fancy trying to pass them on my bicycle as the canal in particular is not somewhere you want to end up in.
Everything started well and it is now in danger of going wrong. I continue to walk behind the sheep that refuse to let me get close but trot onwards.
A few hundred meters on things are going to get interesting when a jogger appears.
Now the sheep are trapped.
I move my bicycle over to the canal side as far as I dare and stay still. The jogger continues and the sheep worriedly make their way back towards me, it is crunch time, which way will they go.
Happily for me they bolt past and it's the joggers turn for some woollen company while exercising.
